Perfect White Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. water
2 Tbsp. or packet dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. oil
2 tsp. salt
3 c. unbleached flour
3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Beat together water, yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Stir in this order sugar, oil, salt and 3 cups flour. Beat well.
Gradually add 3 to 3 1/2 cups kneading gently until smooth.
Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise until double (45 to 60 minutes).
Knead dough again and divide in half.
Shape into loaves and place into well-greased 9 x 5-inch baking pans.
Cover and let rise until doubled, 45 minutes.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool on wire racks.
Makes 2 loaves.
