Fudge Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 stick margarine
    2/3 c. sweet milk
    2 rounded Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cocoa; add margarine and milk.
    Cook over low heat, stirring, until margarine is melted.
    (Cook without stirring until it forms a soft ball when dropped into cold water.)
    Remove from heat; add vanilla and beat until it thickens enough to spread.
    Covers 2 layers.
