Turkey Jambalaya - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 strip bacon, chopped
2 Tbsp. butter
2 c. cubed baked ham
2 c. cubed cooked turkey
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
1/2 c. chopped celery
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 c. raw long grain rice
6 fresh sliced mushrooms
3 c. chicken broth
1 1/2 tsp. chicken seasoning mix
1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1/2 c. finely chopped green onion
1/4 c. minced parsley
Preparation

In heavy skillet, fry bacon until crisp.
Add butter and melt over medium heat.
Saute ham and turkey 4 minutes.
Remove meat from skillet.
Add onion, bell pepper, celery and garlic.
Saute until onion is lightly brown, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Add rice and mushrooms and saute 3 minutes.
Return meat to skillet and saute for 1 minute.
Add chicken broth, seasoning mix and Tabasco sauce. Cook, uncovered, 25 to 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
Add parsley and green onions and mix well.
Cover and cook over very low heat for 5 minutes.
