Fudge Cake (Brownies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    4 oz. cocoa
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    4 eggs (one at a time)
    4 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan (or in microwavable bowl).
    Add all other ingredients in order listed.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Do not overbake.
    Chocolate icing may be spread on top before cutting into squares or bars.
