Ingredients

12 oz. pkg. cranberries
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
8 medium apples (I use Golden Delicious)
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water.
Bring to boil, add cranberries and reduce heat.
Cook until skins pop open.
Set aside.
Peel and slice apples.
Combine sugar and 1/3 cup water, add cinnamon and bring to a boil, stir to mix well.
Reduce heat. Add apples and cook until just tender.
Remove from heat.
Cool. Pour apples into bowl and add cranberry mixture on top.
Do not stir until next day.
Can be made ahead.
Will keep up to 3 weeks in refrigerator.
