Apple Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    4 eggs
    2 medium Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored and diced
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Butter and flour 10-cup tube pan.
    Mix flour, baking powder and baking soda.
    In a large bowl with electric mixer, beat sugar, butter and buttermilk until pale in color.
    Beat eggs in a small bowl and add egg alternately with flour mixture.
    Beat until well blended and fluffy.
    With a wooden spoon, stir in apples and vanilla.
    Pour batter in pan.
    Bake 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes.
    Turn cake out on wire rack and cool completely. Makes 10 servings.
