Crisp Chewies Cookies(Like Gingersnaps) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. rolled oats
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream margarine, egg and molasses together.
    Add remaining ingredients, stirring the oats last. Drop dough by teaspoonful 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    The cookies will puff up and fall. When done, remove from oven just after they fall.
    If cookies are overbaked, they will be crisp, but not chewy.
    Allow to stay on cookie sheet for 1 to 2 minutes before removing.
    Store in a tightly covered container.
    Makes 3 dozen cookies.
