Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/3 c. cocoa
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and beat by hand.
    Sift flour, salt and cocoa; add to mixture.
    Mix and add vanilla and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Remove from oven and spread marshmallow cream over cake and return to oven until melted.
    Cool.
    (Pan size 9 x 13-inches.)
