Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken
    2 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Cook chicken, covered in salted water.
    Remove chicken from broth; reserve broth.
    Debone chicken; cut into pieces and set aside.
    Mix remaining ingredients with enough water to form a soft dough (about 4 tablespoons).
    Roll dough thinly on a floured board; cut into strips.
    Return broth to heat; bring to a boil. Pinch dough off into small pieces; drop into boiling broth.
    Cook for 10 minutes.
    Add chicken to dumplings.
