Frozen Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. light cream
    4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk in double boiler.
    Beat egg yolks, sugar and salt. Pour scalded milk over beaten mixture.
    Return to double boiler and cook until coats a spoon.
    Allow mixture to cool.
    Add cream and vanilla.
    Freeze.
    Makes 2 quarts.
