Lamb Roast(Lammestek) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. leg of lamb
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. basil, crushed
    1 tsp. thyme, crushed
    1 tsp. rosemary, crushed
    2 c. stock or bouillon
Preparation
    Rub the roast with the butter mixed with the herbs.
    Roast in hot oven at 375\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
    Add the stock and baste every 15 minutes.
    Add water, if necessary.
    Roast for 2 hours or until done; use a thermometer.
    Make gravy with drippings by adding 1 tablespoon cornstarch in a little water.
    If you can get a butcher to bone a leg of lamb, stuff it with bread crumbs, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, 2 beaten eggs, parsley, salt and pepper.
    Roast the same way.
