Jumbles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    1/3 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add beaten egg.
    Add dry ingredients. Place jam in center.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
