Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices
    1 c. (1/2-inch cubes) cheese
    4 slices buttered toast, cubed
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Cook onions in boiling, salted water until tender (10 to 15 minutes).
    Drain.
    Place 1/2 onions in 2-quart casserole.
    Add 1/2 cheese and 1/2 toast.
    Repeat layer of onions and cheese.
