Luscious Lemon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 egg, separated
1 lemon
pinch of salt
Preparation

Add sugar
to
water
and
let\tcome
to
a boil.
Make thickening of cornstarch and lemon juice; if not enough liquid add a
small
amount
of
cold water.
Add thickening to sugar syrup and boil 3 minutes.
Add beaten egg yolk (a small amount of lemon mixture
should
be
added to yolk first), but do not let cook. Cool,
then
pour
into a 9-inch baked pastry shell and cover with meringue.
Bake meringue in warm oven.
