Ada'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. oleo
1 1/2 c. sugar
6 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. white raisins
1 can coconut
1/2 c. fig preserves
5 c. pecans
1 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. candied pineapple
watermelon rind preserves (add a few)
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients; cream oleo and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time with flour mixture.
Add flavorings, chopped fruits and nuts.
Reserve 1/2 cup flour for fruits and nuts to roll around in to keep from sticking together.
Bake at 250\u00b0 in loaf pan for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
