Rare Roast Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    recommend standing rib roast
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Place in shallow pan.
    No cover, no water.
    Roast \"must be room temperature.\"
    For each pound of roast, take 1 hour per pound and let stand, example, 7 pound roast would stand for 7 hours on counter.
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    For a 5 pound roast, cook 35 minutes.
    Add 5 minutes per pound.
    After cooking time leave in oven for 3 hours with oven off.
    Once you put roast in oven do not open oven door until ready to serve.
