Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lentils
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 medium carrots, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 can tomato sauce
    6 Tbsp. olive oil
Preparation
    Wash lentils in cold water and drain.
    Add lentils to 4 quarts of cold water.
    Add all ingredients except olive oil.
    Cook on medium heat for 1 hour.
    Add 1 cup cooked rice or macaroni.
    Add olive oil.
