Cheesecake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. crushed graham crackers
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. softened margarine
1 c. chopped nuts
2 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 can pie filling
Preparation

Combine graham crackers, margarine, 1/2 cup sugar and 3/4 cup nuts.
Press into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
Beat egg whites until very stiff and set aside.
Cream the 1 cup sugar, cream cheese and vanilla.
Fold egg whites into creamed mixture. Do not beat.
Pour on top of crust and bake at 350\u00b0 for 23 minutes.
Cool on counter, then refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours until cold. Spread pie filling on top.
Ice with Cool Whip. Sprinkle remaining nuts on top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serves 12.
