Brunswick Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large chicken, cut up
    1 qt. water
    2 slices bacon, cut
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 tsp. salt
    28 oz. tomatoes (canned)
    2 large potatoes, cubed
    10 oz. butter beans (frozen)
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 dash red pepper
    16 oz. frozen corn
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    In a 5-quart heavy pot, stew chicken, water, bacon, onion and salt for 2 hours over medium low heat.
    Remove chicken; cool, skin and remove meat from bones.
    Cut into medium size pieces.
    Return to pot.
    Add remaining ingredients, except corn; cook 1/2 hour. Add corn and cook 1/2 hour.
    Mix butter and flour; add to stew and simmer 1/2 hour.
