Ingredients

1/2 lb. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream margarine, sugars and oil until well blended.
Add eggs and vanilla and mix.
Sift 2 cups of flour with soda and cream of tartar.
Add to egg mixture.
Stir in remaining 2 cups of flour. Mix well.
Refrigerate 4 hours or more.
When ready to bake, shape dough into walnut size balls; place on a well-greased cookie sheet about 4 inches apart.
Flatten dough using a flat bottomed damp glass dipped in sugar.
Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 13 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
