Grandma'S Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. fresh cranberries
    1 1/4 c. water
    1 large box cherry Jell-O
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. diced apples
Preparation
    Put cranberries in water.
    Cook just until they pop.
    Add sugar.
    Remove from heat.
    Add jello and salt while still hot. Let cool, then add pineapple, nuts, celery and apple.
    Pour into 9 x 11-inch pan.
    Refrigerate until firm.
    (Keeps well for 1 week.)
