Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak
    1 Tbsp. diet margarine
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 large green peppers
    1/2 c. celery, diagonally sliced
    1/2 c. beef consomme
    salt and pepper
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Trim the meat of all fat and cut into strips.
    Chop onion, garlic and pimento.
    Cut green peppers into strips.
    Place diet margarine in a nonstick skillet and heat it over a low heat.
    Add the strips of beef and brown on both sides.
    Add onion, garlic, green peppers and celery.
    Add consomme.
    Season the whole mixture with salt and pepper.
    Cover; simmer 20 minutes.
    Do not boil. Add pimento.
    Thicken with cornstarch mixture.
    Cover; simmer the addition for 5 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings (1001.4 calories in whole recipe; 250.4 each serving).
