Lime Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 lb. cucumbers
    2 c. water
    6 c. vinegar
    4 lb. sugar
    1 Tbsp. mixed spices
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. green food coloring
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers and cover with 1 cup lime and 1 gallon water. Let stand 24 hours.
    Stir.
    Take out and put in clear water 3 hours.
    Make brine with remaining ingredients.
