Irish Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick softened margarine
1/2 c. raisins, microwaved in 2 Tbsp. water to soften for about 20 seconds
2 eggs
1 1/2 to 2 c. milk
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and margarine by hand until coarse. Add eggs, milk and raisins. Batter should be on the thick side. Put in greased pan. Pat top of bread with wooden spoon to smooth (if dipped in water, spoon won't stick to dough). Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes. Butter top when done.
