Hamburg Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 or 1 lb. hamburg
    1 onion, minced
    1 can tomatoes
    3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    potatoes
    carrots
    small whole onions
    3 slices bread
    3/4 c. hot milk
    1 egg
Preparation
    Soften bread in hot milk.
    Break up with fork; add 1 beaten egg and mix into hamburg.
    Form into four cakes.
    Dust with flour and brown on both sides.
    Add tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce.
    Cover and simmer a few minutes.
    Add diced potatoes, carrots and small whole onions.
    Season and simmer for 45 minutes.
