Hash Brown Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. bag frozen hash browns, thawed
    1 stick butter, melted
    1/2 onion, chopped
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
    cheese crackers, crumbled (for topping)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place hash browns in buttered 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Mix other ingredients, except crackers. Spread mixture on top of hash browns and top with crackers.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
