Baked Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 green peppers
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    3 c. cooked rice (already cooked)
    1 tsp. each: onion powder and thyme
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef gravy
Preparation
    Cut a thin slice from stem end of peppers.
    Remove seeds and ribs.
    Precook peppers in boiling water for 5 minutes; drain. Combine meat, rice, seasonings and egg.
    Mix tomato sauce and gravy; add 1 cup to meat-rice mixture.
    Stuff peppers.
    Place in shallow baking dish.
    Pour remaining tomato sauce mixture around peppers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Makes 6 servings.
