Roast Beaver - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small beaver, dressed
    baking soda
    salt and pepper
    onion slices
    bacon slices
Preparation
    Boil beaver for 15 minutes in a weak solution of soda (1 teaspoon per quart).
    Remove from water, rub with salt and pepper. Cover with onion and bacon slices inside and out.
    Roast at 350\u00b0 about 2 hours or until tender.
