Taffy Apples On A Stick - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. red cake coloring
Preparation
    Stir until well blended.
    Dip apples into syrup, turning until well coated.
    Place on oil paper to harden.
    They may be rolled in chopped nuts or coconut.
    Do this immediately after coating.
