Amaretto Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf French bread
    1 qt. half and half
    2 Tbsp. butter, at room temperature
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. almond extract
    3/4 c. sliced almonds
Preparation
    Break up bread into small pieces.
    Place in a medium sized bowl and cover with the half and half.
    Cover and let stand 1 hour.
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Grease a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish with the butter.
    In a small bowl beat eggs, sugar and almond extract.
    Stir into bread mixture.
    Gently fold almonds into bread mixture.
    Spread bread mixture evenly into baking dish.
    Set on middle rack of oven and bake 50 minutes until golden.
    Remove and let cool.
