Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sifted flour
1 c. cooking oil
8 ribs celery, chopped
3 large onions, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. catsup
2 Tbsp. salt
4 slices bacon (uncooked)
1 1/2 lb. shelled shrimp
2 lb. crabmeat
1 pt. oysters, drained
Preparation

Brown flour in oil to make a roux. Add next 4 ingredients. Cook until tender. Pour mixture into 1 gallon simmering water. Stir well, adding next 4 items. Boil slowly 2 1/2 hours. Add shrimp and crab; cook 1/2 hour. Add oysters for last 10 minutes. Serve over rice in soup bowls. Serves 14 to 16.
