Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or shortening, softened
1 egg
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. unsifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (16 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Beat butter, egg, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients; blend well.
Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets 2-inches apart.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
