French-Style Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can peas
    1 large onion
    1/4 c. water
    1 large clove garlic
    6 to 8 strips bacon
Preparation
    Fry bacon crisp and remove from fat.
    Dice onion and garlic bulb and saute.
    Pour peas and liquid in can into onion and garlic.
    Add 1/4 cup water and cook on medium heat until liquid has almost cooked out.
    Crumble bacon and add to bowl before serving (bacon stays crispier that way).
