Uncooked Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. raisins
1 lb. dates
1 lb. figs
1 lb. nuts
grated rind of 1/2 orange
grated rind of 1/2 lemon
1/2 c. brown sugar
dash of salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 c. orange juice
3 Tbsp. brandy or rum
Preparation

Cut all fruits fine.
Combine with nuts and mix thoroughly. Mix sugar and spices; toss with fruits until well coated.
Add orange juice and brandy; press firmly into buttered loaf pan. Cover with waxed paper.
Keep in cold place at least 10 days before serving.
Yield:
2 (8-inch) loaves.
