Potato Pies(Fatayer Batata) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    basic pie dough
    5 lb. potatoes
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 lb. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    clarified butter
Preparation
    Shred potatoes and add pinch of salt to draw moisture.
    Saute beef in 1/4 pound butter.
    Grate onion.
    Squeeze all moisture from potatoes.
    Combine all ingredients and season to taste.
    Place on dough patties and close.
    Fry in clarified butter for about 2 minutes on each side.
    Serve hot or cold.
