Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    4 c. flour
    3 or 4 eggs, separated
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    a little salt
Preparation
    Work flour, butter and salt together.
    Add egg yolks and sour cream.
    Mix well.
    Place in refrigerator at least 4 hours or overnight.
    Roll out and cut into squares.
    Fill with apricots, prune butter or nuts.
    Fold two corners to center.
    Press lightly. Brush with beaten egg whites.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
