Cream Of Chicken Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    4 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. chicken broth
    1 c. milk or light cream
    1/2 c. shredded, cooked chicken
    chopped chives
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter in top of double boiler over direct heat, then stir in flour.
    Add chicken broth and milk and cook over boiling water while stirring, until smooth and thickened.
    Add chicken and stir until blended.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Serve in soup bowls topped with a garnish of chopped chives.
