Stuffed Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large whole squash
    1/4 c. onion, finely chopped
    4 slices raw bacon, cut into pieces with scissors
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Boil onion, bacon, salt and pepper until onion is soft. Preboil squash; cool and slice lengthwise.
    Gut and mash.
    Add to onion mixture and heat until water is gone.
    Sprinkle salt on squash shells; put filling in and grate with Cheddar cheese.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
