Wilted Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 slices bacon
1/2 c. sliced green onions
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. water
4 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
leaf lettuce
6 radishes, sliced
1 hard-cooked egg, chopped
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp.
Drain and crumble.
Add onion to bacon drippings; cook over low heat until tender, about 3 minutes. Add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and bacon; cook and stir until boiling.
Place lettuce in large salad bowl; pour hot dressing over lettuce and toss until well coated.
Garnish with radish slices and chopped egg.
Serves 6.
Do not chill salad before serving.
