Raspberry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2/3 c. oatmeal
    1 1/3 c. chopped pecans
    3/4 c. melted margarine
    3/4 c. raspberry jam
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and soda together.
    Add brown sugar, oatmeal and pecans.
    Mix.
    Add margarine, blending with a fork.
    Press half of mixture into bottom of 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Spread jam over mixture.
    Cover jam with remaining mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut into squares when cool.
    May be made a day ahead and left in refrigerator.
