Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. lard
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    4 c. cooked kidney beans
    1 c. strained tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt lard in deep pan.
    Add meat and cook slowly until slightly browned.
    Add onion, garlic, water, chili powder, tomatoes and salt.
    Simmer until meat is tender.
    Before serving, add the beans and cook long enough to heat beans thoroughly.
