Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. white Karo
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 sq. butter chocolate
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put sugar, Karo, milk, salt and chocolate in saucepan; stir to dissolve.
    Bring slowly to the boiling point, stirring occasionally.
    Cook, after it boils, without stirring to a soft ball stage when tried in cold water.
    Add butter, vanilla and nuts (pecans or almonds).
    Cool slightly.
    Beat until candy begins to lose its gloss.
    Pour into a buttered sheet pan; cool and cut in squares.
