Dill Pickles Ii - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 to 25 cucumbers, slice unpeeled
    1/8 tsp. alum
    raw onions
    2 heads dill
    1 hot pepper
    1 or 2 grape leaves on top of can
Preparation
    Put
    ingredients
    in
    jars
    (quart).
    Boil
    together:
    1 quart vinegar, 3 quarts water and 1/2
    cup salt.
    Pour over pickles and seal. Place cans in boiling water and let stand 10 minutes.
