Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. oats
Preparation

Beat
butter,
shortening and sugars until creamy.
Add eggs, milk
and
vanilla;
beat well.
Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts. Mix well. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Cool on a cookie sheet for 1 minute, then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
