Unusual Green Pepper Jelly - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large green peppers
    1 1/2 c. vinegar, divided
    1 tsp. crushed red pepper
    6 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. liquid fruit pectin
Preparation
    Seed peppers and chop coarsely.
    Place half of chopped peppers and 3/4 cups vinegar in container of electric blender.
    Process on high speed until smooth.
    Put remainder in (peppers and sugar). Put pureed peppers, red pepper, sugar and salt in a large Dutch oven.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add pectin.
    Cook, stirring often.
    Cook 30 minutes or until it sheets from metal spoon.
    Pour in jelly jar.
    Pour 1/2 inch of paraffin.
    Cover with metal lids.
    Makes 6 pint jars.
    Can tint red or green.
