Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. molasses
1 tsp. soda
1 c. sour milk
2 eggs
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
spices to taste (allspice, ginger and cinnamon)

Preparation

Mix eggs and
shortening;
add
salt and soda together; set aside.
Mix flour and
spices.
Add
1/2 cup milk to flour mixture, then add flour mixture to the egg and shortening mix. Add molasses last.
Cook in iron skillet at 325\u00b0 until done.
