Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 qt. popped popcorn
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. oleo
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. white syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. raw Spanish peanuts
Preparation
    Pop popcorn and remove unpopped corn.
    Mix brown sugar, syrup, salt and oleo.
    Boil 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and soda and stir quickly.
    Pour over popcorn and mix well.
    Put in cake pans and bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Stir 2 or 3 times.
    When cool, store in airtight container.
    May add raw Spanish peanuts before baking, if desired.
