Gala Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. sugar
    16 c. water
    2 large cans orange juice
    2 large cans pineapple juice
    3 bottles lemon juice
    1/4 bottle almond extract
    1 qt. ginger ale
    1/2 gal. pineapple sherbet
Preparation
    Boil sugar and water for 2 minutes.
    Add juices and almond extract.
    Chill.
    When ready to serve, add ginger ale and sherbet.
    Yields 50 servings.
