Chow Chows - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. green tomatoes
    1 gal. red and green bell peppers
    1 c. minced hot peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    4 lb. onions
    4 heads cabbage
    3/4 gal. vinegar
    3 lb. brown sugar
Preparation
    Boil vinegar and sugar for 8 minutes.
    Cool.
    Put all vegetables through a coarse food chopper (processor).
    Add salt to vegetables; mix well and let stand for 4 hours.
    Squeeze all the juice out, then add cooled vinegar.
    Put in prepared jars and seal.
