Cream Of Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. potatoes (5 large)
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1 c. chopped celery
    6 slices bacon
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. milk
    2 c. half and half cream
    Cheddar cheese and shredded parsley (for garnish)
Preparation
    Cook potatoes and carrots in boiling water until tender; drain.
    Saute bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.
    Saute onions and celery in 2 tablespoons of bacon fat.
    Combine cooked vegetables, bacon, salt, pepper, milk and half and half cream. Simmer for 30 minutes.
    Do not boil.
    Garnish with cheese and parsley.
